(Sept. 22, 2008) – ANN SACKS, an industry leader for luxury tile, stone and plumbing products, announces the relocation of its Portland showroom from SE Grand Avenue to NW 9th Avenue at NW Flanders. Now open, the expanded showroom features the newest and most innovative collections from ANN SACKS all under one roof. ANN SACKS was founded in Portland in 1981 and opened its first Portland retail showroom in 1985. In order to serve its growing business, ANN SACKS now boasts 20 showroom locations nationwide, with plans for further expansion on the national and international levels. “We are extremely proud of our rich heritage as a Portland business and are thrilled to be expanding our showroom presence right here in our own backyard,” said Dian Smith, president, ANN SACKS. In addition to its corporate headquarters located in Portland, ANN SACKS manufactures its signature Ann Sacks Collection tiles in the company’s 26,000 square-foot Portland manufacturing facility. The heart of the company’s product offering, Ann Sacks Collection unites functionality and handcrafted beauty with unprecedented design flexibility. The collection offers 1,300 design combinations and over 300 different glaze and color variations. The Pearl District’s only tile and stone showroom, the new retail space creates a virtual walking tour of dynamic design installations. With over 2,600 square feet of presentation space (and 3,900 total square feet), ANN SACKS capitalized on its ability to engage its clients by showcasing its products in practical, livable settings. Lifestyle suites throughout the showroom present the latest in tile, stone and plumbing, including designs by such industry innovators as Angela Adams, Barbara Barry, Robert Kuo, Clodagh, Erin Adams, Michael S Smith and Laura Kirar. Other collections on display include: the company’s signature Ann Sacks Collection, a comprehensive line of art tile made by ANN SACKS’ own skilled artisans; an extensive array of custom mosaics in a variety of materials; a diverse array of the company’s more than 60 natural stone collections; and several more eco-friendly options including recycled glass and metal, concrete and renewable mesquite wood tile. In addition to the locally-made Ann Sacks Collection tile on display, the showroom prominently features other collections made by Oregon artists. These include a custom mosaic mural (part of the company’s Perennial line), made by a Portland ceramic artist, as well as the company’s Kibak, Sakura and Gallery art tile collections, all crafted by tile artisans in Bend, Ore. The natural beauty of these products is showcased by the large windows on both street-front sides of the building which bathe the space in natural light. The additional square footage and updated display fixture system further allow ANN SACKS to show the full breadth of its vast product assortment. Complementing the tile and stone displays in the showroom are luxury plumbing products offered by ANN SACKS and Kallista. A division of the Kohler Co. Interiors Group along with ANN SACKS, Kallista is a manufacturer of high-end plumbing fixtures and fittings. A striking range of modern and traditional plumbing designs is showcased throughout the showroom, including collections by Michael S Smith, Barbara Barry and Laura Kirar. |
